Indigenous Australian Art

Our collection comes from both emerging and renowned Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander art centres located in the northernly tropical communities of Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland, as well as the Central and Western Desert regions.

ReDot Fine Art Gallery stockroom includes artwork by some of Australia's most highly acclaimed, internationally recognised, Indigenous artists. The artworks are personally selected and curated by the gallery principal during his frequent visits to communities or in conjunction with art centre Managers.

All artworks are accompanied by an original Certificate of Authenticity and the artist's biography issued by the originating art centre. Importantly, these documents ensure the origin and 'fair treatment' of the Aboriginal people involved in creating the artworks on display.

ReDot Fine Art Gallery sources only from 'community-based' art centres. These art centres provide an important creative vehicle for cultural, community and arts activity. By working in partnership with the art centres, ReDot Fine Art Gallery ultimately supports self-determination, maintenance of law and cultural activities and community development through arts practice.
