This work depicts Lake MacDonald, a large salt lake on the Western Australian border and the home country of Narputta. Surrounding the lake is the puli (rocky hills) and tali (sand hills) stretching away in all directions. It is a harsh but beautiful landscape that holds many important tjukurrpa stories which Narputta maintains through her work.
