Nora has painted some of her country, near Kunawarritji (Well 33), far to the south west of Balgo along the middle stretches of the Canning Stock Route. This is an area of both sand dunes and open spinifex plains.
Among the sand dunes are numerous waterholes and lakes, and these are depicted in this painting. In the centre of the painting is the soakwater Kun Kun.
This is a good country for collecting bushfoods, shown by the white dots, including pura (bush tomato) and kantjilyi (bush raisin).
