Nodea has painted the country where old Texas Downs station used to stand. It is situated between the Ord River and what Nancy Nodea knows as the Nigurayi River. Nodea says the site ’got drowned, you can still see those poles there, standing up.’ Texas country is Nodea’s traditional land.
