Winnifred has painted some of her mother’s country, located South West of Balgo in the Great Sandy Desert. This country is known as Jaluyarnoo named after the large tjurnnu (soakwater) depicted as the large circle in this painting. Surrounding the tjurrnu and dominating the country are tali (sandhills). This is good country for hunting goanna.
