This work describes the country of Geraldine’s mother and grandfather. Nyilla is on the northern side of Jupiter Well, which is in the Great Sandy Desert.
The work shows the abundance of the bush tobacco (waltjikarratja) in this country. People from this area collect bush tobacco and they lay it in the ants hill to get dry. They make a fire to make ashes (called kawan) and then they mix the tobacco with the ashes and they chew it.
