Barrowlban is a deep gorge on Texas Downs Station.  At the centre of the painting there is a tall waterfall that cuts through the gorge.  Kangaroo were trapped here.  Men used to chase them up the gorge to a dead end.

People used to sing out to the kangaroo, they would call out and scare the kangaroos and hide behind a tree.  The kangaroo would crawl up the gorge.  The men would knock em down with a fighting stick.

In the gorge there are a lot of minjarra (bush plum).
