This painting is about the Honey Ant Dreaming, which came from Yulumu, to the east of Yuendumu. It went westwards. Shown here on the painting of the Dreaming’s travels are the following places: Yulyupunyu, Yamparlinyi, a small hill, Yakurrukaji, a soakage. Further to the west, depicted at the bottom of the painting, is Wanukurduparnta.
The Dreaming sat at Wanukurduparnta and caused the Honey Ant people to move that way. They went down into the ground and travelled underneath it. Some of them turend back to the east and moved back underground. They died at Yulyupunyu. The water wet them there. Others made their way back to Yulumu and died there.
