Philomena has painted some country which is located far to the South of Balgo, in the Great Sandy Desert.  This country is known as Kulkulpa, named for the tjurnnu (soakwater) shown in the centre of the painting. 

The dotted panels represent a particular type of bush seed collected here, kulparri.  These small black seeds are ground up to make damper.  The squares represent the finished damper.
