ReDot Fine Art Gallery is extremely honoured to have been chosen to relaunch an important collection of works by Rammey Ramsey, a Gija man from the Warmun Art Centre, executed during a critical and highly sought after period of the Kimberley art movement in the mid-1990s, when the Jirrawun Art Centre was active.
Warlawoon Country - Home of Rammey Ramsey, a collection of 24 not previous exhibited works from the archives of the now defunct Jirrawun Art centre, is a stunning collection of works on ochre from one of the masters of the modern Indigenous Art movement. The online exhibition begins on Monday 15th April and runs until Sunday 30th June 2019.
A must-see for anyone interested in following the on-going developments in Indigenous Art and an opportunity to better understand the work being produced by one of Australia’s finest community based Indigenous art projects.
