"This flying bird flies high, looking down, seeing; it must be seeing all the desert. The desert looks happy because it’s all green. That bird is happy because a green desert means water."

This is a soft sculpture made with recycled woollen blankets. The blankets are dyed using local Arrernte plants and rusty bits of metal. The blankets are then used as the base material for the sculpture.
