Born in 1949 on Todd River Station, Jane’s country lies near the foot of the Rodinga Ranges on the north-west perimeter of the Simpson Desert.
A longstanding painter, Jane and family were foundation members of Keringke Arts, obtaining funding to build a dedicated art centre.
During her employment as training manager at Keringke Arts, Jane travelled widely, and participated in a cultural exchange program with Maori artists in New Zealand. Subsequent to losing her husband in 1989, Jane returned to the old family camp and later to the newly established Outstation.
After moving to Alice Springs in 2003, Jane became a foundation member of Tangentyere Artists.
Growing continually in popularity, Jane’s signature works depict weathered pebbles scattered across the Simpson Desert.
Other predominant subjects are landscapes and bush tucker.
Consistent across Jane's practise is delicate bush work and fine dotting.
A long-term executive member for Desart, Jane was voted by her piers as Chairperson in October 2009..
