Jimmy John Thaiday grew up on Yam Island and moved to Darnley Island (Erub). His partner is from Erub and he has family there as well. Jimmy has always loved to draw, it’s something that comes naturally to him.
Jimmy also enjoys fishing and walking on the reef. His artworks give him the opportunity to express the things that are important to him - his identity and culture.
Currently Jimmy is working with ghost nets and creating three dimensional works.
