Nancy Kiwat was born on Thursday Island and grew up on Erub (Darnley Island). Her tribal clan is Saisarem, one of the four tribes on Erub. At school, art was one of her favourite subjects. She has tried screen-printing at home, making t-shirts for local games on Erub.
Nancy also enjoys jewellery making. Now working at Erub Arts, it is a constant learning process and she is able to gain new skills and techniques. As an aspiring artist, Nancy looks forward to broaden her understanding of art.
