He was born at Yurramaral, an important jila [permanent waterhole] on the southeastern side of the Canning Stock Route in the Great Sandy Desert.

He had seen them along the stock route and had watered them at Lamboo well.

In 1998, Nyilpirr danced on the canvas at Parliament House in Canberra, ACT.

Native Title was determined at Pirnini on November 8th, 2007.

Nyilpirr tells this story: Kurtal is the name of my jila.

There is only one jila, Wangkajunga jila.

It is in desert country (southeast of Fitzroy Crossing).

In the the early days, the old people in the ngarrangkarni [Dreamtime], did ceremony here at Kurtal for a long time.

All the ceremony and law business happened here at Kurtal.

I learnt from the old people, all of that business, right here.
