"We went looking for honey ants. We packed the car for a picnic, and we drove on the north road with all of the artists. Dulcie knew where to stop. I dug for a long time and got lots of honey ants, some for myself and some to share. I put some on the ground and then some in the billycan to take back into the car."
This is a soft sculpture made with recycled woollen blankets. The blankets are dyed using local Arrernte plants and rusty bits of metal. The blankets are then used as the base material for the sculpture.
