Theresa Nowee was born in 1971 and comes from a strong painting family.
She is Brandy Tjungurrayi and Nowee Nangala third daughter; her aunt and uncles are Elizabeth Nyumi, Patrick Olodoodi and Helicopter Tjungurrayi.
She paints her father’s country which is centred around Jupiter Well, located near Kiwirrkurra Community in Western Australia.
Theresa began painting in 2001 and in recent years has developed a distinct painting style.
Theresa is one of the young stars of Warlayirti Artists and one her works are in the Laverty Collection, a very important import Aboriginal Art private collection.
