Pauline has painted Kulkanpa, Pauline’s uncle’s country. Her uncle is Sam Tjampitjin. This country is north of Lake Mackay, important for sacred Tingari Law for men. There are many Tjumu or soakages to be found here which represent the many men travelling this country holding the ceremonies. Pauline’s Uncle Sam was a custodian for this sacred law.
