Anne was born at Tjulabi in the Great Victoria Desert.

Tjulabi is a Wati Kutjara (Father and Son snake) place, relating to the story of Pukera which ranges right across and beyond the Spinifex area chasing and ultimately capturing a Wanampi (Water Snake).

Based at Tjulabi this painting shows the rockholes of Tjawa, Kalyka, Piltijara, Warawarta, Apubulu, Baltatajara, Miramiratjara, Mamutu, Karnka, Torlu and Tjutapilyuru. Anne has a vast knowledge of Spinifex Country and tjukurpa. She has shown in the painting that this is sandhill country.
