When Frances Ann was young she went to the local school at Balgo Hills and she also attended high school in Broome.

Her family moved between Balgo and Christmas Creek and then in the 1996 they moved to Kiwirrkurra where they stayed until the community was flooded and evacuated in 2001.

Frances Ann now lives in Balgo with her husband and two sons.

She started painting in the mid 1990s and paints the Tjukurrpa (Dreaming) stories passed on to her from her mother and father.
