In my country, the area surrounding Kwolyin, the landscape is dotted with huge granite rocky outcrops. Although farmers consider these rocks worthless and not conducive to cropping and building on the land, the local indigenous Noongar people have always treated the rocks with reverence considering them remnants of their ancestors. In fact most rocks were individually named and had stories belonging to them.
